The Future Of Vauxhall- Introducing The Vauxhall Monza

This week the Vauxhall Monza was revealed ahead of its official debut screening. The new concept car is due to influence the styling of future models for Vauxhall, bringing Vauxhall into a new era for performance and design.

One singular image was released earlier this week of the Monza concept to tease Vauxhall fans. The image shows Opel/Vauxhall CEO Dr. Karl-Thomas Neumnn kneeling down next to the vehicle, proudly grinning at his design.

Car critics and enthusiasts have all noted that the Monza concept shares very little similarities with current Vauxhall car models on the market with comparisons being made to Audi R8. However, you can still see Vauxhall traits within the grille so not everything has changed!

Reports are circling that the Monza concept will be a sporty coupe, however Vauxhall has neither accepted nor denied this fact so we’ll wait and see.

Soon to be released car models such as the Audi A5 Coupe and the BMW 4-series coupe are likely to be rivals for the latest Vauxhall car.

So what does the name Monza mean we hear you ask? The name refers to the Opel Monza coupe, which was built between 1978 and 1982 and which was badged as the Vauxhall Royale in the UK.

As Vauxhall part specialists we can’t wait until more details are released, so make sure to keep checking our blog at MegaVaux for everything Vauxhall related!

What You Need To Know About Buying Used Car Parts

We all enjoy life’s shortcuts, but sometimes taking the easy way out can be costly. This is especially significant when it comes to fixing your car, why do it yourself when phoning up your local garage is so much easier.

Well, before picking up that phone have a think, “could I actually fix this myself?” In some cases the answer is yes, all you need to do is roll up your sleeves and take a good look which in turn would save on labour costs (plus VAT).

It’s very rare if you just happen to have the car parts you need lying round so this means you have to go out and source them out for yourself. The best thing about getting the parts yourself is that you avoid paying the profit margin for the parts when you go to a garage, you also avoid the repair charges.

When buying parts yourself you have the option of purchasing a generic part, rather than paying a premium price for a more expensive part.

So how do you go out and find these parts we hear you ask? Finding the right part for your car couldn’t be easier now with thanks to the internet, just type into Google what you’re looking for and within a matter of seconds hundreds of quality search results will be at your fingertips. This will save you leaving your house to go hunting in a scrap yard.

If you’re unsure about the part you need then your best option is to go online for a vehicle parts supplier, this will mean you can get in contact with them easily via phone and receive some expert advice for free. Also look for an online supplier who offers a part guarantee regardless of whether the part is new or old.

If you need your part instantly then you will find most vehicle part sites offer next day delivery so you don’t have to be without your car.

Finding your own vehicle parts can save you from spending a lot of excess money, so why not shop online with someone like us here at MegaVaux we have exclusive offers on our website for great quality parts for Vauxhall and Opel cars.

Good News: Car Sales Are On The Rise For 2013

According to the Society of Motor Manufacturers (SMMT) car sales increased AGAIN last month, providing a light at the end of the tunnel for the after math of the following recession.

It was reported that new vehicle sales increased by almost 15% last month in comparison to sales figures in 2012, which signals the strongest sales growth in a staggering 14 month period.

Figures show that new car sales have increased by 8.9% when compared to last year, and with the SMMT predicting a 2.1m car sales this year we can expect a further increase in sales when we compare sales figures to 2012.

There were 163.357 vehicles resisted last month, 81,753 were private sales and 75,067 were fleet sales. A breakdown of the statistics indicate the small economical cars are taking the market by storm, with the Ford Fiesta selling 8,083 units, Vauxhall Corsa (6,084), Ford Focus (5,944) and the Volkswagen Golf (5,283).

How You Can Cut Your Petrol Costs

As the UK economy isn’t too great at the moment we could all welcome some money saving tips which is why here at MegaVaux we have come up with some easy ways you could save money on your petrol costs.

ALWAYS price compare

This may seem like an obvious point but simply driving past a petrol station or two doesn’t count as comparing the market. Now with the use of modern technology it is now even easier to compare different company prices even from your mobile device, which is ideal if you need to fill up on the way home. Simply before you get in your car to drive do a quick comparison to check to see the closet and cheapest petrol station to you.

De-clutter your vehicle

It’s surprising how much unneeded clutter you can carry in your vehicle without you even thinking about it. Have you still got your roof rack attached from your holiday you had earlier on in the year? How many unnecessary mechanical tools do you keep in your vehicle, what is the likely hood you’ll use them? Spare just 5-10 minutes to give your car the once over to see what extra weight you’re carrying – Just think, the lighter the vehicle the less petrol you will use.

Check your tires!

Don’t forget to check your tires! Driving on under inflated tires will make you use more petrol. This is down to your car tires creating more resistance when moving, therefore your car works hard which will result in you using more fuel.

Drive sensibly

Having an erratic driving style can cause you to use excess amounts of petrol, this means if you tend to break sharply or accelerate excessively you may want to reconsider your driving style. We recommend staying alert to the flow of traffic, have travel alerts switched on through your radio so you are more prepared on the road.

These simple tips are easy to follow and could make a big difference when it comes to your driving style and your weekly petrol outgoings. At Megavaux we pride ourselves on providing useful hints and tips which may help you, as well as providing you with all your quality Vauxhall and Opel spare parts.

Buying Car Parts Online- Why You Should Be Buying Your Parts Online

Every time your car breaks down it’s often followed up with a quick call to the garage to book your car for a check over. This often results in an expensive bill for something which technically you could have fixed yourself if you just had the thought to do so.

However, technically you know all this already- So what’s holding you back? Lack of time, skill, knowledge? All of the above doesn’t have to stop you from buying your car parts online as you can get professional mechanical advice but opt to purchase your own parts rather than letting them do so.

Purchasing your parts online rather than letting a garage do it for you means you can avoid that nasty little VAT charge you often find added when you let a garage buy the parts for you.

If you have no mechanical knowledge or skill, how about asking a friend first, even if they want some money for their time you can bet it would be cheaper than any garage! Even if turning to a friend isn’t an option you can always ask a mechanic to fit the parts for you.

Plus, shopping online for car parts couldn’t be easier! At Mega Vaux you can easily navigate round the site by choosing the model of your car. If you can’t find the part you’re looking for you can put a request using our car part request form on site.

So next time you need a car part  why not shop online at Mega Vaux, we have exclusive offers on our website for great quality parts for Vauxhall and Opel cars.

Car Maintenance- Are You Looking After Your Car?

With snow forecasted to fall throughout the month it is essential to make sure that your car is in top working condition, this entails checking your car thoroughly for any minor or major damages.

Wear and tear on your vehicle is dependent on many factors with how you drive and how regularly you review your car for damage being the key contributing influences on the working condition of your car.

Car part longevity varies from make to model so it’s difficult to distinguish what the most commonly replaced car parts are in general terms. However, you can stay on track when it comes to maintaining your vehicle by looking for obvious faults including broken bulbs and flat tires. But, when it comes to the engine, the brakes and the general running of your vehicle it’s essential to book your car in for a service at least once a year as close to winter as possible.

If you do need to replace a car part it always pays to visit us here at MegaVaux, we have access to thousands of Vauxhall car parts, spares, and accessories.  Simply select the part you want and we can deliver straight to your door, but if you can’t find the part you need simply use our request a part service.

Remember to always take extra care whilst out on the roads during harsh weather conditions.
