Check out The First Peak At The Brand-New styling For The Vauxhall Range

Yesterday we were treated to a sneak peak of the Vauxhall GT X Experimental brand concept.
This is the new futuristic design that’s going to be a vision of Vauxhalls next decade of cars from 2019. Vauxhall is hoping this modern design direction will revamp the brand. Vauxhall’s Vice-President of design Mark Adams has said: “Design will be at the heart of everything that we do in the future. It will truly differentiate the Vauxhall brand, and make it sharper and more relevant to our core values.”

Photos By Vauxhall

While the images leave a lot to the imagination, what’s under the sheet gives us an idea of the shape of the new range, suggesting an updated hatchback body. Whilst the modern lights and general look appears similar to other ‘futuristic’ style cars such as other electric or hybrid models. Vauxhall has explained these lights are called ‘Vizors’ and will be a prominent feature on the future range.

Overall Vauxhall has said the new range “will embrace its core values – British, Ingenious, Progressive and Approachable – and provide a template for the future design of its production cars”.

What do you think is this a good direction for Vauxhall? Let us know in the comments!

Vauxhalls Comeback Corsa! Fully Electric Corsa’s announced for 2019

A brand new Electric Corsa has been announced for Launch in 2019 and set to go into production 2020. Following in the footsteps of other successful electric cars such as Renault Zoe, Citroën CZero, and Nissan Leaf, Vauxhall is hoping to be a top competitor in the EV market.

The new Corsa is Expected to be a big hit and Vauxhall hope it’ll put them comfortably back in profits after a terrible 2017 for the company. The new Corsa was announced as part of the companies PACE! recovery plan aiming to set them back into profits by 2020. Opel CEO, Michael Lohscheller, said: “This plan is paramount for the company, to protect our employees against headwinds and turn Opel/Vauxhall into a sustainable, profitable, electrified, and global company.”

A fully electric Corsa is a big step in their plan to have every Vauxhall and Opel model at least partially electric by 2024, the Corsa pioneering a move that sees 3 other electric models Vauxhall and Opel have announced coming out and including their Flextreme model (pictured below?). There’s also expected to be a hybrid version of the Grandland X as this model is currently based on the EMP2 platform. Greener cars on the market can only be a good thing with electric cars giving off 50% less CO2 emissions throughout its lifetime than a diesel. There has been no information yet about the range the new Corsa will be able to do however it’s been estimated it’ll be above 200 miles.

We’ll have to wait till 2019 to find out, however, if you’re looking for Corsa spare parts now find them online and with ease ant MegaVaux.

Vauxhall Renames Yellow Corsa ‘Maddox Yellow’ in Support of Cotswold Pensioner

Blamed for ruining one of Britain's most picturesque villages with his brightly coloured Vauxhall Corsa, 84-year-old Peter Maddox of Arlington Row, Cotswolds, has now been appointed his own colour by no other than Vauxhall themselves!

After multiple viral reports and posts slamming his choice of car colour, outraged vandals took it upon themselves to scratch the word 'move' onto the bonnet of his Corsa, as well as smashing both side and rear windows. However, since then, after hitting the headline with his story, Peter and his yellow Corsa have gone on to win the heart of the nation!

Earlier this month, a fleet of 100 yellow cars from all across the country joined forces and rallied through the heart of Maddox's hometown of Bibury Cotswolds, in a warming act of solidarity. It was the UK's 'Biggest Yellow Car Convoy' ever, with Vauxhall Motors even joining the event in their own 'Maddox Yellow' Corsas.

The Director of Communications at Vauxhall Motors, Mr.Denis Chick commented "When we heard Peter's story we were inspired by the way it captured the heart of the public. We wanted to show our support for Peter, which is why we're renaming our yellow shade to 'Maddox Yellow'. We will also be in the car convoy to show our support. It is for a great cause and no doubt a fun day for lovers of all yellow cars, including Vauxhall."

So there you have it, there's always a silver (yellow) lining!

Vauxhall News – Head Lights Of The Future

Warning! What you are about to read is super awesome!

This month Vauxhall news reported that the engineers at Opel/Vauxhall are all hands on busy developing eye-tracking technology for their head lamps. Sounds very sci-fi we know but this new technology will revolutionise Opel/Vauxhall lighting technology forever.

Eye-tracking technology revolves around situation-appropriate lighting which require five to 10 cameras. In short, the camera technology will scan the driver’s eyes more than 50 times per second in any light condition making the headlamp actuators react instantaneously to make both horizontal and vertical adjustments.

There’s nothing simple about this operation but the results will be phenomenal and we’re likely to see the results of this new development sooner than later.

We can’t wait to hear more about this latest development, however if you’re like us and you’re still grafting with your standard head lights you know that you can always get your spares from MegaVaux.

Vauxhall has confirmed that the Vivaro will be released this summer and aims to combine "a light commercial vehicle with the comfort and design flair of a passenger car."

In February we touched on some of the key selling points for the Vivaro, with the launch approaching even more selective information about the second-generation van has been released.

First Glimpses Of The New Vauxhall Vivaro

Earlier this month Vauxhall released some very exciting news with regards to the brand new Vivaro. As specialist of Vauxhall and Opel parts, it should come as no surprise that we get a little bit over excited when it comes to new releases from Vauxhall.

With a new design, engines and technologies inside and out, we can’t wait for this release which should be out early summer 2014.

Details of the latest Vauxhall car have been kept minimal but first look imagery has been released so you can take a sneak peak.

So what can we tell you about the car? Well Vauxhall has said that it will bring a breath of fresh air to the light commercial vehicle (LCV) segment.

Performance and economical engines are high up on the priority list for Vauxhall, and the all-new Vivaro certainly delivers these qualities.

With a modern look, the Vivaro has a prominent front grille, winged shaped graphics and integrate elements and forms of popular passenger Vauxhall cars.
